Winnebago Public Library introduces a Seed Library for patrons, sponsored by the Winnebago Garden Club.

What is a seed library?
A Seed Library is simply a place where you can “check out” seeds for FREE. The seeds come from local businesses that have donated the seeds or from the backyards of local gardeners who collect, save and donate seeds in the provided seed envelopes.

How the Seed Library works:
1. Patrons are welcome to “check out” up to 4 seed packs per visit.
You do not need to have a library card!

2. When you get the seeds home, plant or “sow” your seeds and watch your flowers or vegetables grow!

3. Please only take seeds you plan to plant.

If you are an experienced gardener and have an abundance of seeds to share, please consider donating seeds to the Seed Library in the seed packets provided. ALL incoming seeds donated need to be placed into the provided seed packets and turned in to the service desk at the library.

A special thank you to the Winnebago Garden Club and Tammy Cunningham for coordinating this effort! And a special thank you to Wayne's Feed Store, Ace Hardware-Winnebago and Burpee Seed Co. for donating seeds to get our seed library up and running!
