Winnebago Tribal Council 2026
This evening, Margaret “Emmy” Scott and Keely Purscell officially took the oath of office! Emmy will serve until October 2027, and Keely will serve until October 2026.

In addition, Eugene DeCora Sr., was elected as the new Vice-Chairman.

A huge thank you to everyone who made tonight's ceremony so special:
- Winnebago Veterans Kevin Ebert and Anthony Bassette for carrying in the flags.

- Winnebago Singers Les Painter, Garan C***s, and Quince Bass for the songs.

- Pastor Ricky Jacobs for the blessing.

- Judge Zendejas for rendering the oath of office.

- Winnebago Indian News and Communications department for the live stream and photography.

- Winnebago Tribal Administration for conducting the special election. CEO Darla LaPointe, CAO Tiffany Buchanan, CEO Executive Assistant Tyresha Romero.

Each council member shared words of encouragement and support for the Winnebago Tribe as we move forward together. 🦅✨

📢 ATTENTION WINNEBAGO TRIBAL MEMBERS

The Draft Eligible Voters List for the Fall 2026 Tribal Elections has been posted.

⚠️ If your name is NOT on the list, you must contact Tyresha Romero or Tiffany Buchanan at the Blackhawk Community Center (BHCC) before the close of business TODAY.

Per Winnebago Tribal Code, qualified voters must:
• Be an enrolled member of the Winnebago Tribe
• Be 18 years of age or older
• Have maintained a physical residence on the reservation for six (6) consecutive months prior to the General Election

To update your voter registration, please submit:
✔️ A current valid government-issued photo ID
✔️ A utility bill, water bill, lease agreement, or similar document verifying your physical residence address

❗IMPORTANT: If you are not on the Eligible Voters List by the close of business TODAY, you will NOT be eligible to vote in this Fall's Primary and General Elections.
