Dear Patrons,

We have some bittersweet news to share! This summer, we won't be seeing our beloved Miss Mara, as an incredible opportunity has presented itself that she simply couldn’t turn down.

For the past four summers, she has dedicated her heart to our little library and the community, and we can’t thank her enough for her service. But don’t worry—she’s promised to stop by later this summer to volunteer, so we’ll have a chance to wish her well on her journey as she completes her final year of college!

We are also thrilled to introduce Rebekah, who will be heading up our Summer Reading Program activities this summer! Here’s a message from Rebekah herself:

Hey Winneconne Community!
I am so excited for the opportunity I have this summer to help with the summer reading program activities. I was hired for the summer to help as extra hands with all the crazy and exciting activities we have planned!

I am a Junior in college, studying to get my Secondary English Teaching degree. In my free time, you can find me reading, hiking, or crafting, usually with a coffee in hand! I also love anything by theater/drama. I have acted in countless productions and have even ventured into the work of directing by starting my own small local theater group.

I am so excited to get to know my amazing community more through this position! Can’t wait to meet you all!

How cool is this?!

Winneconne Police Department is excited to announce our new Little Free Library. We will have free books as well as periodic stuffed toys and other goodies. A sign will also be added soon directing people to visit our website's Area Resources section for information on mental health support, legal aid, aging and disability resources, and so much more! A big thank you to the Winneconne Public Library who generously helped stock our library. Keep an eye on our page for any updates to the PD Library. Our Library will soon be appearing on the Little Free Library World Map which can be found at Little Free Library World Map.

We can't forget about the teens and adults!

This year, we’re excited to introduce a brand-new store and raffle baskets for our teens and adults!

Thanks to the incredibly generous donations from our amazing patron, Kira Heise, and another anonymous donor who provided many of the books, we’ve created some fantastic book bundles!

📚Each bundle comes with a brand-new book and may include tea, bookmarks, keychains, post-its, stickers, and more!

Kira also contributed many items for the children’s store, so let’s all give her a HUGE thank you! 🙌❤️

🌞We're are so excited to highlight the Children's Summer Prize Store and Raffles, opening on Monday, June 8th!

Here's how it works:
Kids of all ages can earn a total of 40 tickets throughout June and July by reading to themselves or being read to.

Tickets can be used in two fun ways:
Buy prizes from our store 🧸
Enter our large giveaways with raffle tickets 🎟️

Registration opened on Monday and will continue throughout the summer, so feel free to join anytime by stopping into the library and signing up!

And don't forget, the Summer Lunch Program is also open for registration, with lunches starting on Monday, June 8th!

Our Friends of the Library Team had a fun and successful first ever Speed Puzzling Tournament.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and had so much fun while fundraising for The Summer Reading Program!

Another huge thank you to Jordan at the Sovereign State Taphouse for hosting, making delicious pizzas and serving some great drinks!

We have a lot of interest for another event so stay tuned!

Our Get Lit Book Club had the absolute pleasure of hosting Amy Pease last night for a discussion about her incredible novel, Northwoods. It was such a wonderful evening filled with great conversation, behind-the-scenes insight, and a deeper appreciation for a book we all truly enjoyed!

We’re also excited to share that we now have multiple copies of the sequel making their way around the group already!

If you haven’t had the chance to read Northwoods yet, be sure to check it out — highly recommended by all of us at Get Lit Book Club!

After confirming with the Winnebago County Emergency Management team, the Village is prepared to host remediation efforts in support of the historic flood which impacted our community. Please review the below informational guide.

The Winneconne Library is hiring one enthusiastic individual to assist with our summer programs and activities!

Position Details:
Hours: 15-20 hours per week
Dates: June 5th - August 28th
Pay: $13 an hour

Applicant Requirements:
Must be 17 or older
Have reliable transportation
Able to work open and close shifts
Enjoy working with children of all ages
