Please help us welcome Tasheena Egan and Charlie to the Humboldt County District Attorney’s Office!
We are excited to welcome Tasheena Egan as our new Victim Service Coordinator and Facility Dog Handler.
Tasheena earned her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Nevada, Reno and has a strong foundation in crisis response, victim advocacy, and trauma-informed care. As a proud member of the Navajo Nation, she brings valuable cultural perspective and understands the importance of meeting victims where they are. She is committed to ensuring every victim—regardless of their background or circumstances—is treated with dignity, compassion, and respect while helping them navigate the criminal justice system and connecting them with the services and resources they need.
Today also marked an exciting milestone as Charlie officially arrived in Humboldt County and met his new handler, Tasheena, for the very first time. Over the coming weeks, the two will continue their training and build the partnership that will allow Charlie to provide comfort and emotional support to victims, witnesses, and children during interviews, court proceedings, and other difficult moments.
We are thrilled to welcome both Tasheena and Charlie to our team and look forward to the positive impact they will make throughout Humboldt County.
