NOTICE: Temporary Burn Ban Lift

The Tripp County burn ban will be temporarily lifted.

If you plan to burn, please notify dispatch at 605-842-3324 or the Tripp County Sheriff’s Office at 605-842-3600 before starting. Be prepared to provide:
• Your name
• Address/location of the burn
• What materials are being burned

Once your burn is complete, please call back and let us know you are finished.

Even with the burn ban temporarily lifted, conditions can change quickly. Please monitor your burn at all times, keep water and equipment nearby, and continue checking the area frequently—even after the fire appears to be out. Many fires can rekindle hours later and spread unexpectedly.

Reminder siren testing tomorrow in Winner,Colome and Witten.

It’s that time of year again as storm season approaches. 🌪️

Winner Dispatch will be conducting tornado siren testing on April 15 at approximately 10:15 AM in the communities of Winner, Colome, and Witten.

This is a great opportunity to review, practice, or begin putting together your safety plans at home and in the workplace.
