UPDATE: Green Bay Road has been reopened.

Southbound Green Bay Road is currently closed in Hubbard Woods as cleanup is underway after part of the building facade fell earlier today outside Spirit Elephant. Fortunately no one was injured. Other portions of the facade are being removed to make sure the area is safe and the cause is being investigated.

🚲 E-Bike Safety Reminder

With school back in session, we’re seeing more young riders using e-bikes to get to school, practices, and around town. Please take a moment to review Winnetka’s e-bike rules with your family:

• Helmets are required.
• Riders under 16 must have adult supervision on Class 1 and 2 e-bikes.
• Class 3 e-bikes are for riders 16 and older.
• No riding on sidewalks.
• Obey posted speed limits and ride safely around pedestrians, crosswalks, and school zones.
• E-bikes should not be modified to increase speed or alter safety features.

A quick conversation before your child heads out can help keep everyone safe.
