INCREASED TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT DURING JEEP WEEKEND
The Chambers County Sheriff’s Office is anticipating heavy traffic this weekend as visitors travel through the area for Jeep Weekend in Crystal Beach. Deputies will have an increased presence along State Highway 124 and surrounding roadways to help keep traffic moving safely and reduce hazardous driving behaviors.

Motorists should expect periods of congestion and allow extra travel time throughout the weekend. We ask everyone traveling through Chambers County to remain alert, patient, and courteous while sharing the roadway.

Please remember to buckle up, avoid impaired driving, follow posted speed limits, and move over or slow down for emergency vehicles stopped along the roadway (its the law!). Making safe decisions behind the wheel helps protect everyone traveling this weekend, including first responders working in the area.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation as we work to keep the weekend safe for both residents and visitors.

This National Police Week, we want to take a moment to honor and thank our brothers and sisters in law enforcement. 💙🖤

From Winnie-Stowell EMS thank you for standing beside us on the hardest calls, protecting our communities, and answering the call no matter the hour. Your courage, sacrifice, and dedication never go unnoticed.

We are grateful for the partnerships built in chaos, the trust formed on scene, and the commitment you show every single day.

To all law enforcement officers: thank you for your service, your strength, and your sacrifice.

Stay safe. We stand with you

Happy Mother’s Day to the moms of EMS- the women who answer the call at work and at home.

To the moms who work long shifts, miss holidays, lose sleep, and still show up with strength, compassion, and heart- thank you. You carry the weight of caring for strangers while loving your own families fiercely.

Whether you’re on the truck today, at the station, in the ER, or finally getting some well-earned rest, know that what you do matters. Your children see your dedication, your sacrifice, and your resilience.

Here’s to the EMS moms who prove every day that being a caregiver isn’t just a job- it’s who you are.

Wishing all EMS moms a safe, peaceful, and love-filled Mother’s Day.

Happy Nurses Week to all the incredible nurses who show up every day with compassion, strength, and dedication.

Thank you for the long hours, the quick thinking, the comfort you bring to patients and families, and the care you give even on the toughest days. Your work makes a difference in ways that can’t always be measured.

A special thank you to the amazing nurses at Riceland ER — for the countless hours you pour in, your teamwork, your resilience, and for handling not only the chaos of the ER but also all the shenanigans that come with EMS 😁. Your patience, skill, and sense of humor do not go unnoticed.

This week is for celebrating you and the impact you make every single day. We appreciate you more than words can say. 💙🩺

May is Prader–Willi Syndrome Awareness Month
This month, we’re shining a light on Prader–Willi Syndrome (PWS) — a rare genetic condition that affects growth, metabolism, and overall development. Awareness matters, not just for understanding the challenges, but for celebrating the strength, resilience, and love within families touched by PWS.

Be sure to check out this month’s featured article, written by a devoted mom who shares the inspiring story of her amazing son. Her perspective offers a heartfelt look into daily life, advocacy, and the hope that drives their journey.

And don’t forget to stop by our Employee Spotlight section, where we highlight one of our incredible team members who continues to make a difference in our community.

Together, we learn. Together, we support. Together, we raise awareness.
