A friendly reminder about large donations

We are so grateful for the generosity of our community and for everyone who contributes to the Little Free Libraries and the Winnsboro Community Exchange Program. Your donations truly make a difference!

However, we kindly ask that large donations, such as multiple boxes or bags, be coordinated directly with someone at the Library or the WCEP. When large amounts of items are left at the Little Free Libraries, as shown in the photos below, they can be difficult to manage and may exceed what either organization can properly take in at that moment.

We absolutely appreciate your kindness and willingness to give. To help us keep these community spaces tidy, accessible, and enjoyable for everyone, please reach out before leaving large donations.

Thank you for your continued support and thoughtfulness!

Next week is going to be a bit unusual for all of us, and we truly appreciate your understanding. With a conference, our Standard Club annual library benefit, and a holiday all happening at once, our hours will be adjusted:

Monday: Closed
Tuesday & Wednesday: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
Thursday – Saturday: Closed

A quick reminder: During Wednesday’s benefit, library services will pause from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm and resume afterward.
Thanks so much for your patience. We’ll be back to our normal hours the following week!

Introducing Creative Voices!

We’re excited to launch Creative Voices, a new series celebrating artists and other local creative minds who enrich our Winnsboro community. To kick things off, our first Artist Conversations feature shines a spotlight on Valery Guignon!

We recently had the pleasure of catching up with Valery, and her passion for art and storytelling is truly inspiring.

Don’t miss the chance to experience her amazing work! You can find her pieces on display at the Winnsboro Center for the Arts, right here at the library, and on her page: Valery Guignon.

Stop by and see why Valery’s art is such a treasure to our community!

🔥 Warming Center 🔥

The City of Winnsboro will open a warming center beginning at 8:00 am Saturday, January 24, until further notice.

The City has been in ongoing communication with SWEPCO, and at this time they do not anticipate power outages related to the current weather conditions. The greatest potential risk for outages are on mid-day Saturday.

📍Location: City Hall Council Chambers
501 S. Main Street
Winnsboro, TX 75494

To help serve everyone safely, this space is available for temporary warming during peak cold conditions and is not equipped for overnight stays. Please bring only essential personal items.

We appreciate the community’s understanding as we work to make thoughtful, safety-focused decisions.
