Winnsboro ISD is aware of a trending social media threat being referred to as the “Cat in the Hat.” This threat is not specific to Winnsboro and has been reported as a concern in multiple communities.
Our district is aware of the situation and is closely monitoring for any related posts, messages, or concerning behavior involving our students or campuses. The safety and security of our students and staff remain our top priority.
We encourage parents to talk with their children about what they see and share on social media. If your child comes across anything concerning or receives a message related to this trend, please report it to your child’s school immediately so we can address it appropriately.
