🌟Meet Your Neighbors: Noah and Isabella Pixton and their three sons, Camryn, Jax, and Liam🌟

Noah and Isabella both attended Grace College before getting married in 2017, and they’ve called Winona Lake home ever since.

The Pixtons love spending time outside as a family, whether that means walking the trails, riding bikes, mountain biking, or enjoying the parks around town. They also love visiting the Farmers Market and exploring the shops in the Village.

But there is something that they have cherished more than anything.

“One of the biggest things we love here has just been the community itself,” said Isabella.

If you want to read more about the Pixtons and upcoming events, join our newsletter today!

🚨 **PLEASE HELP PROTECT OUR SEWER SYSTEM** 🚨

A reminder to all Winona Lake residents: **the only things that should be flushed down the toilet are human waste and toilet paper.**

Over the past month, the Town has had to repair **two lift station pumps** because of items that should never have been flushed into the sewer system. Those repairs have already cost the Town approximately **$5,000 in parts alone**—not including staff time or other associated costs.

🚫 **DO NOT FLUSH:**

* Baby wipes or cleaning wipes — even if labeled “flushable”
* Paper towels
* Feminine hygiene products
* Diapers
* Cotton swabs
* Grease, fats, or oils
* Trash or other household items

These items can clog sewer lines, become wrapped around pumps, and cause equipment to fail. When that happens, **the Town—and ultimately its taxpayers—are paying the bill.**

# # # **WE NEED YOUR HELP.**

Please take a moment to make sure **everyone in your household knows what can and cannot be flushed.** If you're unsure whether something belongs in the toilet, **throw it in the trash instead.**

**One improper flush can contribute to a pump failure that costs thousands of dollars to repair.** With the Town's sewer system serving the entire community, preventing these problems starts with each household.

**Please help us avoid unnecessary repairs and protect your tax dollars:
Only flush waste and toilet paper. Everything else goes in the trash.**

Thank you for doing your part to keep Winona Lake's sewer system working properly.

The Town of Winona Lake Street Department will be conducting w**d control spraying next week in several areas throughout the community.

Applications will take place in:

All Town alleyways
Along the entire length of the Greenway
Limitless Park

Residents are asked to use caution around these areas while applications are being completed and to keep children and pets away from treated areas until the product has dried.
