Today, the Precinct 4 Constable’s Office was contacted by a citizen about a black lab in a neighborhood who’s paw was caught up in a chain and was being attacked by other dogs. After units arrived and the rescue mission was complete. Deputy Sabrina Rodgers and Lieutenant Josh Hill applied first aid to our four legged citizen, gave him some complimentary Chick-fil-a french fries and some water. These are the Men & Women of Precinct 4.

HOW ABOUT A WARM WELCOME:

Today Smith County Precinct 4 Constable Deputy Sabrina Rodgers was sworn in today by 114th District Court Judge Austin Reeve Jackson. Deputy Rodgers comes to Precinct 4 with a vast amount of experience. Deputy Rodgers has served in the United States Army for nearly 20 years, and continues to serve her Country as a Sergeant in the US Army. Deputy Rodgers began her law enforcement career in the Colorado State Patrol and served as a Trooper for 3 years. Deputy Rodgers and her family moved to Texas, where she furthered her law enforcement career by becoming a Deputy for the Smith County Sheriff’s Office. Where she has served impeccably in the sheriff’s office patrol division for the last 2 years. Deputy Rodgers has a true servants heart, and has exemplified what a true public servant is within the community. She is the epitome of what community policing should be.

Her passion for the safety of children, strong stance against family violence and animal cruelty, as well as the desire to serve the people while implementing community policing is a combination you don’t find everyday. We here at the Precinct 4 Constable’s Office are proud to have found a community leader such as Deputy Rodgers, who possesses the dedication to serve the citizens of Smith County.

Please give a big Precinct 4 welcome to a well respected veteran, law enforcement officer, and now Precinct 4 Deputy Constable, Sabrina Rodgers.

“Welcome aboard” - Constable Josh Joplin
