Our weekly sing-along begins today!

Feel like listening to or singing along with old-time familiar songs? Join us for a casual sing-along. Gather, socialize, sing, or hum along. This is a time to appreciate music and tap your foot along with the beat.

Registration is open to Friendship Center Members for our Minnesota State Fair Bus Trip on Thursday, August 27th.

Cost for Friendship Center Members is $60.00/person. This includes motor coach transportation and fair ticket.

We are tentatively planning on leaving the East Recreation Center around 7:30am and returning around 8:30pm. These times are tentative and an official timeline will be sent after we confirm bus and tickets.

Spaces are limited; register early to ensure you are able to join us. We will be opening the bus trip to non-members on June 1st for an additional fee. Registration will remain open until spots are filled or July 2nd, whichever is first.

Our next student introduction is Isabel!

Isabel is a Senior at Winona State University (graduated in May) and is a Sociology major. She enjoys crocheting. Her favorite place that she has visited is South Padre Island, TX (and she will be doing our June Travel Tales on this) and she someday wants to go to Spain. An interesting face about Isabel is she is a very big Marvel fan. She is excited for the new spiderman movie to come out. Her favorite thing to do in Winona is to go swimming in the river.

Isabel is completing her internship with us and will be seen at most of our facilities. She will be leading our Monday Sobieski programs, working Lake Lodge and ERC, assisting with Tech appointment and Chore Corps programs, subbing Water Aerobics, and helping us facilitate some of our outdoor recreation programs this summer.

Hiking Club: Chickadee Circuit

Join us on a hike on Chickadee Circuit. Meet at the West End of Wincrest Drive. Bring: water, comfortable clothes & hiking/tennis shoes, and walking sticks (if needed). Note: Trail is an unpaved, approximately 1.6 mile hiking trail. Be prepared for uneven areas. In the event of rain or bad weather, we will try to reschedule for a different day and will notify those registered.

Preventing fraud & scams includes information about fraud prevention, how you can detect and report fraud and scams, so you can keep your personal information and yourself safe.
