Welcome to The Village!

A NEW evening offering from ECFE for families with children Birth to 3rd grade.

Monday night class begins with a family meal.
Parents get to eat, too!

Families can practice skills like... sitting during meals, quality family conversations, and cleaning up after themselves.

We’ll wrap up the family meal with Circle Time in the big gym.
After Circle time, children will go to one of two early childhood classes based on their age.

As usual, parent conversation is first and foremost driven by the needs of the class/what parents bring to class to talk about, but each parent educator will prepare lessons based on one of two topics and parents will register for that topic.

Lynnea chose Balanced and Barefoot because she’s excited to learn alongside families about the benefits of nature-based, grounded play and brainstorm together about local destinations and simple at-home activities.

Erica chose Parents Have Feelings, Too because she’s excited to explore how parents can manage their own emotions and model healthy emotion regulation for their children so that the whole family can thrive without pressure to be perfect.

The Around Town Class tomorrow (9/3) will be at LaCanne Park from 9:30-11:00. The address is 6280 Old Hwy 61. This is drop-in class, no need to register and it's completely free. There is an area to play in the sand or swim if you choose. We can't wait to see you!

Reminder that tomorrow Goodview Elementary will be closed for maintenance. Drop-in class will meet Ms. Angie at the Lake Park by the bandshell. Baby & Me is cancelled and we will see you on September 2nd when class resumes.

🚨Attention 🚨
Changes to ECFE for August 19th.
Due to construction at Goodview Elementary the school will be closed next Wednesday. Ms. Angie will meet those families that would still like to gather for drop-in at the Lake Park by the bandshell from 10:00-11:30 weather permitting.

Baby & Me will be CANCELLED on this date.

Gentle hands! Ms. Cari and Ms. Lynnea shared Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches with our little learners a few weeks ago! Thanks to Mrs. Reisetter at Winona Middle School for loaning us her special pets, and thanks to ECFE parent and wildlife professional Abbey Krumrie for teaching us that two gentle fingers is better than one, because it prevents children from poking, and accidentally harming, smaller creatures.
