Sadly, 1 in 9 Vermonters copes with alcohol use disorder—and for those seeking help, there is a severe shortage of treatment options available. What message does this send to our neighbors who need help? The Public Health Response to Research is conducting a project supporting the Vermont Department of Health’s mission to address growing concerns around e-cigarette use through scientific research and public outreach. They collect and test va**ng products—both from retail sources and Vermont schools—to analyze their chemical contents and potential health risks. By collaborating with scientists nationwide and sharing findings with communities, educators, healthcare professionals, and policymakers, they aim to raise awareness and support effective local policy initiatives.

The City of Winooski must readopt a municipal plan by March 2027 per state statute. Currently, the City of Winooski Master Plan, which was adopted in March 2019, serves as the municipal plan.

From Language Justice Project New Medicaid Rules for Some Immigrants
Starting October 1, 2026, you will only be able to get Medicaid in Vermont if you are:
A U.S. citizen or U.S. national.
In the United States legally, and are under 21 years old, pregnant, or were recently pregnant. This means anyone with Dr. Dynasaur.
A COFA Migrant who lives in the US. COFA Migrants are citizens of the Freely Associated States, which are: the Republic of the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Republic of Palau, or
A Cuban-Haitian Entrant.
Lawful Permanent Residents – also known as green card holders – can also get Medicaid in Vermont.

In this film, Screenagers filmmaker Delaney Ruston picks up her camera to examine the impact of our digital age on teens' decision-making in relation to substances such as va**ng, drugs, and alcohol.

Exploring the latest research and learning more about the personal experiences of teens and families, the film highlights the changing landscape of the substances themselves, offering solutions for how we can best empower teens as they face decisions about what they will and will not be influenced by.
