๐๐๐ซ๐ซ๐ข๐'๐ฌ ๐๐๐ฐ ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ญ๐: the following slides clarify the current use of GPS tracking in domestic violence cases. This is an area with loopholes that citizens and legislators are working to close via Carrie's Law. The goal: stronger protections for domestic violence victims, creating a system that keeps high-risk offenders away from their victims BEFORE they commit their most heinous crimes. The information comes from a state judicial branch summary, and the slides were prepared by ๐๐๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐ง๐ง๐ ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ. Debra is one of the citizen authors of Carrie's Law, along with Sophie Crossfield. Together they have done tremendous work not only in identifying loopholes in the system, but getting the state government on board and overseeing a coordinated effort for change.
