Our summer school readers are bringing stories to life in the most creative way!
Students in Ms. Beryl Russell’s Summer School class designed their own castles inspired by the Dragon Masters book they’ve been reading. As they explored the adventures in the story, they stepped into the role of authors and designers—imagining and building castles that reflect the magic, challenges, and characters from the book.
This hands-on experience is helping students strengthen reading comprehension, creativity, and academic language as they connect deeply with the text.
Reading + imagination + design = powerful learning in action! 🐉🏰

📚✉️ Our Summer School students in Mrs. Jenny Jacobs' classroom are bringing reading to life!
Students are writing letters home just like Drake did in "Dragon Masters". What a fun and creative way to promote reading comprehension, strengthen writing skills, and help students make meaningful connections to the books they read!
We love seeing our multilingual learners engaged, inspired, and excited about literacy. Keep up the amazing work, Mrs. Jacobs! 🐉💙📖

Summer school is in full swing, and the fun is just getting started! 🎉

Students in Ms. Beryl Russell's class are learning through games, laughter, and teamwork every day. Just look at those happy faces! 😊 There's nothing better than spending the summer in a classroom filled with new friends, engaging activities, and a teacher who knows how to make learning fun.

Way to go, Ms. Russell, for creating a classroom where students are excited to learn and make lasting summer memories! 💙📚🎲

🐉✨ Dragons, crystals, and imagination... summer school doesn't get much better than this!

Students in Jenny Jacobs' summer class are reading Dragon Masters, and Mrs. Jacobs found a fun way to bring the story to life. Each student received their own crystal necklace and then created a dragon of their very own! They gave their dragons names, imagined special powers, and wrote all about them.

One of the best things about reading is getting lost in a story, and these students are doing so much more than just reading—they're becoming part of the adventure!

We love seeing our ML students learning, creating, and having fun all at the same time. 🐲📚💎

Summer learning is in full swing! ☀️📚✏️

Our ML students are staying engaged this summer through reading, writing, and meaningful conversations. In Jennifer Clay's classroom, students have been participating in a daily "Question of the Day" activity, sharing their ideas, practicing their language skills, and building confidence as readers and writers.

Learning is happening, friendships are growing, and fun is definitely part of the experience! We are so proud of our students and grateful for our dedicated teachers who create engaging opportunities for language development all summer long.
