Summer brings exciting changes, but for some kids, transitions can feel overwhelming.

A simple sensory strategy can make a big difference!

In this video, Amanda shares how creating a small “smell kit” with scents like peppermint or eucalyptus may help support regulation during difficult moments. When a child is stuck in a fight, flight, or freeze response, reasoning and problem-solving often aren’t available yet.

Sometimes the first step isn’t talking through the behavior. It’s helping the brain get regulated enough to hear you.
