Today we celebrate Women's Equality Day, commemorating the certification of the 19th Amendment on August 26, 1920—a landmark moment that expanded the right to vote for millions of American women.

The fight for women's suffrage spanned more than 70 years, beginning with the Seneca Falls Convention in 1848 and culminating in the ratification of the 19th Amendment in 1920. Black women leaders, including Ida B. Wells-Barnett and Mary Church Terrell, played vital roles in the movement while also advocating for racial justice and equal rights.

More than a century later, we honor those who fought for progress and recognize the ongoing work to advance equality for all. 💜
