I’m proud to share that I’ve earned the support of the Florida State Hispanic Chamber Of Commerce.

Every day, Floridians are feeling the squeeze of higher prices at the grocery store, the doctor’s office, and the gas pump. Easing that pressure is my focus in Tallahassee, and it’s the Chamber’s focus too.

They represent more than 604,000 Hispanic-owned businesses across Florida, contributing over $90 billion to the state’s economy every year. Those businesses create good jobs, spark new ideas, and keep dollars working in our communities, which is how families get ahead.

In Central Florida, we see that impact in every neighborhood.

The Chamber and I share a simple commitment: serving the people who make Florida work. I’m grateful for their trust, and I look forward to the work ahead.

TONIGHT, join the district1_ylc for a town hall bringing together students, myself, OCFL Commissioner Nicole Wilson, and other elected officials!

This is an opportunity for teens to ask questions, share their ideas, connect with local leaders, and learn more about how decisions are made in our communities. I’m looking forward to hearing directly from our young people and the issues that matter most to them!

Know a teen who wants to get involved? Encourage them to attend and make their voice heard!

Today is Support Your Local Chamber of Commerce Day, and I’m proud to celebrate the chambers that work every day to strengthen our local business community. 🤝🏾

My two small businesses and my legislative office are proud members of the West Orange Chamber of Commerce. Before I ran for office, I was fortunate to serve on the Chamber’s board for several years. The Chamber has been a great partner to my office, and I’m proud to stand behind an organization that has been a cornerstone of the West Orange community for decades.

We’re also fortunate to have chambers across our community doing great work, including the 4 Corners Chamber of Commerce, The Osceola Chamber and the African American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida.

If you own or run a business, consider joining your local chamber. You’ll gain valuable connections, resources and opportunities to help your business grow. Strong businesses build strong communities.

What a great addition to our Horizon West community! đź“š

Libraries are about so much more than books. They give our kids a place to learn, connect families with valuable resources, and create opportunities for people of all ages to explore something new.

The new Orange County Library System (FL) Horizon West Branch offers all of that and more! From the Media Lab and study rooms to technology and ESL classes, programs for all ages, and outdoor learning spaces, there’s truly something for everyone.

And since we’re talking books, I wanted to share a recommendation of my own: Talking to Strangers by Malcolm Gladwell. It raises some interesting questions about how we understand others, the assumptions we make, and how we communicate.

I’m grateful to everyone who helped bring this new space to life. Libraries are an investment in our people and our future, and I’m excited to see all the opportunities this one will bring to Horizon West for years to come!

Early voting started today! 🗳️

If you haven’t made a plan to vote yet, now is the time! Early voting runs through November 1st, with all locations in Orange and Osceola counties open from 8am to 8pm.

Every vote matters, and our community’s future is on the ballot. Make a plan, get out and vote, and let your voice be heard! Election Day is November 3rd. Let’s get it done!

My team and I had a great time at Orlando Pride yesterday alongside fellow public officials and members of the community! It was wonderful seeing so many people come together to celebrate love and acceptance. ❤️

I also enjoyed connecting with residents and passing out the Orange County (FL) Democrats Voter Guide to help folks get ready for Election Day! Almost 2 weeks away!

I’ve been out across the district knocking doors, talking with neighbors, and working hard to earn your vote. I’m grateful for every conversation and everyone who has welcomed us into their neighborhoods. This is what showing up for our community is all about.

Now it’s time to bring that same energy all the way to Election Day! Join us on the doors, bring a friend, and help us reach as many voters as possible. Every conversation counts, and every vote matters. Let’s finish strong! 💪🏾

Anika joined the United Against Poverty Orlando team for their Hand UP Luncheon to learn more about the work they’re doing to support Central Florida families facing tough times.

The luncheon also marked the announcement of UPLift, a new UP Orlando campus planned for 2029 that will bring more services together under one roof.
