Program - Judge Bobby Fegers - Artic Exploration 2016

-Started in Ottowa and explored back country Russia

-They had to take a helicopter to an icebreaker boat for the trip. At that time the boat had to be Russian-registered to be allowed into the country. 

- 1st Stop was Beachy Island, huge historical connection to the 1845 Franklin Expedition

- On board they had the foremost authority on Polar Exploration - Hew Lewis Jones

- They found tagged Swans in the Artic that were migratory from Lakeland, Fl

The Interact Clubs of Winter Haven High School and Chain of Lakes Collegiate High School have planned a Rotary Park Clean Up, and they’re inviting Rotarians to roll up their sleeves and join them!

Last Thursday, we welcomed Donna from Sun Publications for an inspiring discussion about the power of local media and community journalism.

We learned how local publications help connect our community, highlight positive stories, and encourage kids to keep reading during the summer. 📖 Studies show that children who continue reading during summer are more likely to maintain their reading skills and avoid the “summer slide.”

Thank you, Donna, for reminding us that sharing good news can inspire, connect, and strengthen our community. 🌟
