Just a reminder is your children are riding bikes in the school parking lot after hours there is no supervision, construction happening which includes construction vehicles, and kid car parents driving in and out of the parking lot. Please remind your children not to ride in front of vehicles and please do not yell at the construction people they are doing their jobs and fixing our roof. Thank you

🐾 Bobcat Safety Reminder 🐾

At Garden Grove Elementary, the safety of our students and families is always our top priority!

As a reminder, we ask all families who walk to and from campus to please use the sidewalks, crosswalks, and designated crossing guards when crossing the street. By modeling safe habits, we help teach our students the importance of pedestrian safety and keep everyone protected.

🚸 Our crossing guard, Mr. Jeff, is stationed to assist families and safely stop traffic so walkers can cross quickly and efficiently. Please take advantage of this important safety resource each day.

Thank you for partnering with us to keep our Bobcat community safe. Together, we can set a great example for our students and ensure everyone gets where they are going safely!

🌟🔺🟦 Shape Builders at Work! 🟨⚪🧊
Our first graders had a wonderful time during math today as they explored 2D and 3D shapes through hands-on shape construction activities! Students practiced identifying, sorting, and describing the attributes of shapes while making connections to the real world by finding shapes all around them. From counting sides and vertices to recognizing faces and edges, our young mathematicians are developing a strong understanding of geometry through active learning and discovery.
Florida Benchmark MA.1.GR.1.1: Identify, sort, and describe two-dimensional figures and three-dimensional figures based on their defining attributes.
We are so proud of their curiosity, collaboration, and mathematical thinking! 💙✨

📚🔎 Learning is all about finding the evidence!
Today, our students put their reading strategies into action by going back into the text to locate evidence and support their answers. By citing text evidence, students strengthen their comprehension, deepen their thinking, and become more confident readers. We are proud of the hard work and perseverance they are showing every day! 🌟
