UPDATE: All lanes on Howell Branch Road has been reopened. The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital and is being evaluated for any injuries. Our traffic investigators will be conducting further investigation into the cause of the crash.

Traffic Alert: Please avoid the area of Howell Branch Road, Between Via Tuscany and S Thistle Lane. Both directions of travel will be closed until further notice as we are currently at the scene of a vehicle roll over crash.

‼️Dogs Found‼️ Who's missing these two cuties? Pups (one male and one female) were picked up by officers earlier today. They were found on Swoop Ave. They are safe with us for now, they have collars, but no tags or microchips.

Contact us at 407-644-1313 (non emergency). Orange Co Animal Services has been contacted to assist.

June 26 Free Women's Personal Safety Course Offered

This two-hour course is open to women ages 14 and up. Offered by your local law enforcement officers, this intro class is designed to help individuals stop violence through personal safety tactics and education. It will be held at the Winter Park Police Department headquarters (500 N Virginia Ave).

Police Chief Tim Volkerson was pleased to administer the oath of office to the department's newest member - Officer Sarah Dougherty.

Ofc Dougherty was born and raised right here in City of Winter Park where she proudly graduated from Winter Park HS OCPS

After completing her degree in criminal justice at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), as well as the police academy, Ofc Dougherty worked as both a community resource officer, and police officer for FAU.

We are proud to welcome her home in this new role and know that she will protect and serve our community with pride, excellence and integrity.
