ts have multiple opportunities for hands-on, experiential education. Instruction is differentiated and meets the needs of each learner. Winters Middle School has a student population of approximately 350 students with 18 full and part-time teachers. Our staff and students support a positive school culture with many community-building activities and events throughout the school year. Our school enjoys strong community and parent support with volunteers who work hand-in-hand with administration to help coordinate events that celebrate student achievement, and make school not only a place where leaning takes place, but a place where students can have fun while becoming successful and happy young adults.

Dear 8th-grade parents, we are ready for our students to make great memories tomorrow for their end of Middle School Fieldtrip to Six Flags. We have communicated with the students that Six Flags is a cashless theme park for ALL purchases including food. We wanted to ensure that parents/guardians were also made aware of this policy. Below is the information that Six Flags shares on their website:

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom only accepts card payments at all locations including restaurants, retail stores, games, ticket windows, and parking toll booths. You can either pay for purchases using a Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, or a debit card. Only have cash? You can convert your cash to a prepaid debit card at one of the multiple kiosks located throughout the park and anywhere in the U.S. where Visa is accepted.

The 8th Grade Environmental Education class is hosting an Electronic Waste (E-Waste) Collection Event. The main event happens this Saturday, 9am-1pm in the Winters Middle School parking lot.

In addition, they are collecting E-waste this Thursday and Friday, 10-11am. This allows members of the community to drop off their electronics before the weekend rush.

Please support the environment and our 8th graders by dropping off your E-Waste during one of these collection times.

It's almost time for the WMS “Cardinal Prize Drawing” to reward our student body for their hard work and positive attitude during this school year. Of course, a drawing means prizes! Would you be willing to donate as a way to reward deserving students? The drawing will take place on the LAST day of school, May 30th.

Your donation will enable us to give more prizes to more students. Prizes can be dropped off at the Winters Middle School office between the hours of 7:30-4pm. Big or small, anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated! If you would like to make a monetary donation, please make all checks out to Winters Middle School and write Leadership (Student Drawing) in the Memo. If possible, please donate items by Friday, May 24th.

Please come by or send your student over to our bench of missing and lost clothing under the tree. As you can see the collection is growing and growing and with the warmer weather coming up student will be taking off layers during the day so we anticipate it to get even bigger. We will leave these things out on the bench until next week Friday 4/26 at which time we will be bagging everything up and donating it so please come by and take a look. Thank you everyone!
