Were you one of the many that received a stimulus check (or two) and thought "this is great, but I really don't need it"? Consider donating those extra funds to CRISP or Paw Pantry. Many local families have experienced COVID set-backs on top of daily struggles with finances and emotional or health related issues. Your dollars could make a real difference for them.

Thanks to Fareway, their wonderful staff and customers for supporting CRISP during their "round up" event. Their donation of over $2200 will go a long way in helping to support Madison County families in need this holiday season!

CRISP families, if your children will need winter wear (coats, boots, snow pants, hats and gloves) for the upcoming season, please call CRISP to arrange an appointment at 515-462-9400 now. That first blast of cold can catch us all off guard and we want to make sure your kiddos are prepared! We are limiting the number of people in the office at one time, so please call ahead. If you are not currently a CRISP client, but providing winter wear for your children will be a hardship for you, please call us to see how CRISP can help.

09/23/2020

If your employer participates in the United Way campaign, please remember CRISP when selecting your organization designation! You can search for us by zip or by Winterset. We will most likely appear as Community Resources in Service to People rather than CRISP. Thanks for your consideration!

Paw Pantry needs your help! The Paw Pantry, located at the Winterset Middle School, has passed out over 1,000 boxes of food to Madison County families in need since early March. They receive some food each week from the Food Bank of Iowa and have been able to supplement with meat, dairy, and fresh items due to the generous donations of members of the community. The hope was to continue to provide quality food boxes for the rest of June and possibly July, but funds are almost depleted. Please consider a donation for this very worthy cause. Donations may be sent to CRISP (with Paw Pantry noted in the memo line) at 210 W. Green St., Winterset.

Hello All! CRISP is in need of L, XL, XXL adult coats and heavy ski gloves in all sizes. While this not an immediate need, it is a GREAT time to get these items at significantly reduced prices. We encourage everyone to shop local as much as possible, but with depleted seasonal stock and store closures, it may be necessary to use online resources.
*** If you have unused Kohl's cash, this is a wonderful way to use it. Place the order yourself or donate the Kohl's cash to CRISP to make the purchase.
