Tonightβs action reflects a policy decision regarding infrastructure, public safety, Quality of Life, community expectations, economic impact, and the long-term operational needs of the City of Winterset.
This project also reflects an effort to balance those desires with fiscal prudence.
Ultimately, leadership requires balancing todayβs concerns with tomorrowβs responsibilities. Communities either stagnate through fear of criticism, or they continue moving forward deliberately, transparently, and responsibly.

The Winterset City Council has voted to place Winterset Fieldhouse funding of $ππ ππ’π₯π₯π’π¨π§ on the November ballot, creating an opportunity for our community to continue the conversation about investing in the future of City of Winterset.
Weβre also excited to share that the project cost has been reduced to $ππ.π π¦π’π₯π₯π’π¨π§ and community support continues to grow with $πππ,πππ ππ₯π«ππππ² ππ¨π§ππππ!
