Engine 4101 operating at a motor vehicle collision on the NC 11 South Bypass this morning. Friendly reminder to - several vehicles failed to move over putting our firefighters, paramedics, and law enforcement officers at a great risk, unnecessarily. Help us to help you!

10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY - On October 8th, 2016, Hurricane Matthew impacted the Carolina coast which ultimately resulted in the loss of 26 North Carolinians and $4.8 billion in property across the State.

That night, due to catastrophic flash flooding, our firefighters jumped into action and two engine companies engaged in rescuing lives from flooded homes and cars. In total, more than 25 lives were rescued from flooded waters in the greater Winterville area.

Charging your phone, tablet, or gaming controller on a bed, couch, or pillow can trap heat and cause the battery to overheat. Choose a hard, flat surface, such as a desk or table. Keep devices uncovered and away from anything that can burn.

Use the charger and cord supplied with your device or a replacement approved by the manufacturer. The wrong charger can damage the battery and increase the risk of fire.

Check your charging cords today. If they’re frayed, cracked, or damaged, replace them.
