Fourth graders across the county learned about farm and rural safety earlier this month during Progressive Ag Day at Newsome's Farm. Many thanks to Mrs. Wendy Drake, our school partners, volunteers and extension staff for a successful event this year.

Keyairah Smith, a 4-H Teen LEADS and junior at Hertford County Early College High School, served as the Hertford County 4-H delegate at the National 4-H Conference earlier this month. She met with representatives and is being the change she wishes to see in the world. Way to go, Keyairah!

Another successful Real Money Real World simulation for Ms. Vicki and the CTE department at Hertford County High School! The students, teachers and volunteers had a good time budgeting their monthly income. Students learned quite a bit about financial decisions. It's been a busy month for Hertford 4-H in our schools. Happy Financial Literacy Month!

Students are taking life skills to the next level with the Real Money, Real World simulation, gaining a firsthand look at budgeting, making important choices, and building their lives after graduation. Learning is meeting real-life applications.
