!!!K9 Rocky Retirement Announcement!!!

K9 Rocky began his service with the Wisconsin Dells Police Department in May 2018. Paired with his handler, Lt. Ben Wiese, they have been an inseparable and highly effective team since day one.

Over the years, K9 Rocky has been instrumental to our department, the local community, and surrounding areas. He has been responsible for numerous drug seizures, weapon recoveries, suspect tracking, and criminal apprehensions. His work ethic was second to none, and he never faltered in the face of danger. While the decision to retire was not his own, the time has come for him to relax and hand over his duties to K9 Vader and Officer Zibell.

K9 Rocky will spend his retirement with Lt. Wiese and his family here in Wisconsin Dells. We thank him for his years of dedicated service; he has certainly earned his rest.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to everyone who has donated to the WDPD K9 program over the years. This program and the service of these remarkable dogs would not be possible without your generous support.

And a very special thank you to the Wisconsin Dells Animal Hospital Team for your continued care of our K9s. Your team has been instrumental in keeping our K9s happy and healthy throughout their careers.

If you would like to make a donation to the WDPD K9 Program, please contact Lt. Wiese at:

Thank you!
