Three Red Raider students competed in the Miss Wisconsin Rapids Teen Pageant on Friday, June 20th. All three ladies worked very hard in five different areas to show how they perform under pressure, give back to their community, have developed individual talents, and more. The process is long and rigorous, and can lead to important scholarships for participants.

Lincoln High School is proud to recognize three students for their excellence in this pageant:

Bianca Bowden, Miss Wisconsin Rapids' Teen. Her Community Service Initiative was titled: Think and Drive, Stay Alive.

Ruby Marti, Miss River Cities' Teen - 1st Runner Up to Miss Wisconsin's Teen. Her Community Service Initiative was titled: Silence is NOT Golden: Early Language Matters.

Addison Morin, Miss Northern Lights' Teen. Her Community Service Initiative was titled: Specializing Special Education: Creating Acceptance.

We are proud of ALL of our young ladies for their hard work and excellence! Keep up the great work!

The WRPS Maintenance Team has finished restoring "Progression" to its original state. This sculpture, completed in 1985 by Steve Johnson, a LHS senior, and welded by Scott Boutwell, was originally painted in progressive shades of gray for the three grades which attended LHS at that time. At some point in the past 40 years the three triangles were painted one shade of gray which faded to white and then rusted. The maintenance team sanded the sculpture and restored the original colors under the advice of Ms. Jeanine Kleman, LHS art teacher. Ms. Kleman stated, "It is important to value the original intent of the artist and respect that vision." Now Mr. Johnson's vision is on display for a new generation of Raiders at Lincoln High School!
