Now that the weather is nice, it’s a great time to be active together as a family outside. One of our WIC dietician's favorite games to play with her family is 4 corners. This game is fun for many ages. If you would like to try it out, here is how you play.

This game can be played inside or outside. Mark the 4 corners of a room or driveway with different colors. One person stands in the middle with their eyes closed and counts to 10. Everyone else quietly moves to a colored corner. Then the person in the middle keeps their eyes closed says a color. Any people on that color are out. Continue until one person is left.

When we play with younger kids, we play with colored hula hoops. The person in the middle keeps their eyes open and chooses a color out of a bucket (without looking) and the kids on that color have to move to another color. Then that hoop is taken out of the game. Continue until there is only 1 hoop left.

Banana Oat Bars:

• 1 egg
• ¼ cup of honey
• ½ tsp of cinnamon
• ½ tsp of baking powder

Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mash the banana and add in all remaining ingredients, mix well. Pour into a 6x6 greased pan/dish. Bake 20-25 minutes. Cool bars and cut into 4 bars.
