Unfortunately we have lost 100% admin access to this page and are limited on what we can do. After exhausting all of our options to get full access back we have made the decision to start new! Please help us spread the word and head over to our new page Wisconsin Rapids Police Dept. and follow us there. We will spend most of this summer sending out weekly reminders to move over to our new page. Once summer comes to a close we will be deactivating this page. Aside from our weekly "move to our new page" posts, this will be our last post.

We will also be adding more officers to the social media team to provide more content!

Thank you for everyone for coming out and participating. A 20 1/2 inch catfish took first place. We look forward to seeing you all again next year and Happy Father’s Day!

We would like to congratulate Lieutenant Brad Burris for completing Leadership in Police Organizations training program and Interim Deputy Chief Scott Dewitt for graduating from Wisconsin Command College and becoming a Wisconsin Certified Public Manager. Well done!

The Wisconsin Rapids School Safety Patrols, Inc. Board of Directors wishes to thank the following contributors for their financial support in recognizing the efforts of more than 200 cadets serving our community. These generous donations enabled our cadets to join hundreds of other safety patrols from across Wisconsin in a special recognition day at the Wisconsin Dells in May.

Wisconsin Rapids Police Department Kids Fishing Contest!! 🎣

Stop out on June 19th @ 9:00 am - 11:30 am East River Bank South of the former Elks Lodge.
This is a FREE event for kids 14 and under. We will have snacks, drinks, and the ability to pick a lure and fishing item. FREE raffle items will be given away and everyone who participates will be entered. There will also be trophies for each age group!

We hope to see you there!

Drivers:
•Yield to pedestrians when they are crossing a sidewalk.
•Yield to pedestrians who have started crossing at an intersection or crosswalk.
•Do not overtake and pass any vehicle that stops at an intersection or crosswalk to permit a pedestrian to cross the roadway safely.

Pedestrians:
•Do not suddenly move into the path of a closely approaching vehicle that does not have sufficient time to yield for a pedestrian.
•Stay off your phone and pay attention when you intend to walk through a crosswalk.
