🚧 Street Light Project Update 🚧

The street light project is scheduled to begin this week.

As part of the project, the existing street lights will be removed so the new lights can be installed. Crews will also be installing new ADA-accessible handicap ramps and replacing sections of sidewalk in designated areas.

Please do not remove or disturb any 811 utility flags or markings. These flags are important for locating underground utilities and are needed for the project.

The City of Wishek would like to make the public aware that there is a college student from the European Country of Estonia in town: Katrin Piirimaa Book Girl.
Katrin is a university student from Europe doing a summer internship with an educational company from Nashville, TN.
She has checked in with the City of Wishek to let you know she's around.
Katrin will be meeting up with families and residents in Wishek selling educational materials that:
1) Help with ACT preparation by Princeton Review
2) Help with college credit classes by McGraw Hill
3) Study guides that help parents to help kids with new math & other subjects
4) Study guides that save time doing homework & test preparation
5) And a jump start program for the pre-k kids that give a head start for school.

Here’s a quick Wishek street project update!

The project is now about 25% complete. Most of the concrete work is finished, with about six locations still waiting on materials for storm drain inlets before crews can return and wrap them up.

The street patching crew is expected to arrive the week of July 20 and will likely continue working through the end of August.
