Due to expected high temperatures, the City of Wixom will open a cooling center beginning Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. The cooling center will remain open through Friday at 4:00 p.m.

Wixom, MI 48393
The cooling center is intended to assist residents in staying safe during potentially dangerous heat conditions. Residents in need of a cool environment are encouraged to utilize this facility during the listed hours.

As more people are out enjoying bicycles and e-bikes, the Wixom Police Department would like to remind everyone to ride safely and responsibly while having fun this season.
The Wixom Police Department also wants to share an important reminder about e-bikes and the rules that apply to their use.
E-bikes are a fun and convenient way to get around, combining pedal power with electric assistance. As they become more popular, it’s important to remember when on the road way they must follow MOTOR VEHICLE LAWS meaning riders might need to adhere to the rules typically applied to vehicles on the roadway like speed limits, helmet rules, and road regulations.
