Sheriff Bill Brooks wants to thank all the police officers who participated in an interdiction project yesterday evening. Officers from the White County Sheriff's Office were joined by the Monticello Police Department Indiana, Reynolds Police Department, Monon Police Department, Chalmers Police Department, Brookston Police Department, White County 911 Communications Center, Wolcott Police Department, and the Indiana State Police, stopping 164 total vehicles during the saturation patrol. Multiple felony arrests were made, including possession of methamphetamine and resisting law enforcement with a motor vehicle. In addition to the felony arrests, officers arrested or issued citations for several misdemeanors, including operating a motor vehicle without receiving a license, driving while suspended, and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Sheriff Bill Brooks loves the collaborative effort that was put forward last evening to remove criminal activity from our community's streets. Sheriff Bill Brooks also wants to personally thank Detective Brandon McLeland for the work he put in planning and implementing this saturation project.
