We encourage our residents to come in person or to mail in for their dog licenses but starting this year, we have a new option to register your dog/dogs online.

You must know last yearsโ€™ tag number which is on the paper slip or on the dogsโ€™ metal tag.

The rabies information must be up to date.

There is a $3.50 processing fee that is collected by the company providing the service and $1.00 for postage. These fees do not change based on the number of dogs you license.

The price for the dog licenses remains the same at $8.00 for Spay/Neuter and $19.00 for Unaltered.

An automatic $1.00 per month late fee on each dog that is licensed after June.

The online portal closes at the end of August and at that point all transactions must be in person or through the mail.

ATTENTION WOLCOTT RESIDENTS: A water line break has occurred affecting Waterburyโ€™s water system of which Wolcott is a part. Low water pressure and possible discoloration of water may affect some residents over the next four to five days. If you experience discolored water, you are asked to run your faucets until it clears before drinking or cooking with it. This does NOT impact Wolcott residents on well water.

CTDOT plans to host a Virtual Public Information Meeting on June 10, 2026 for Project No. 0171-0496 regarding the retaining wall project for walls in Cromwell, Glastonbury & Wolcott.

The proposed project will consist of replacing the wall with a new wall system. The northbound shoulder will be reconstructed to accommodate a 7-foot-wide shoulder and the northbound of the roadway repaved. Maintenance and protection of traffic during construction will primarily consist of closing the right climbing lane of Route 69 northbound with temporary traffic barriers along Route 69 northbound, creating a work zone on the east side of the roadway.

Right-of-way impacts associated with the proposed project include slope easements and temporary construction easements. Construction is anticipated to begin spring 2028 based on the availability of funding, acquisition of rights of way, and approval of permits. The estimated construction cost for this project is approximately $13 million. The project is anticipated to be undertaken with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
