The City of Wood Lake's Final Application for the small cities owner-occupied grant is due by April 15, 2026. DSI is submitting it on our behalf. To make our final application more competitive and maximize our funding opportunity, DSI has paired us with the City of Cokato. The grant award announcements will be released in late summer-fall of 2026.

♻️♻️NORTH SIDE RESIDENTS — GARBAGE SERVICE UPDATE♻️♻️

The City has been in communication with the contractor regarding garbage services for residents on the north side of town.

For garbage pickup, please place your garbage cans at the curb as you normally would. Hjerpe Contracting will move the garbage cans to and from the curb on your behalf.

This arrangement is intended to assist Olson Sanitation and the City while also helping prevent potential safety concerns for residents.

Please pass the word regarding the parade line up change for this year!
With ongoing construction in our usual area, we are moving the parade line up to be between G&L Repair and the Co-op as highlighted in orange.
Large equipment and any horses, etc. are asked to park in the Fresh Logistics (former Blackjack Trucking parking lot) - where the orange asterisk is shown just to the west.
Fire Depart Rigs and Color Guard Entries continue to park by Fire Hall.

The parade route itself is NOT changing and will start as usual by the green Start.

WOOD LAKE, Minn. — The Wood Lake Fair returns today for three days of community activities and entertainment, continuing traditions that date back to the fair’s founding in 1935.

The fair runs Aug. 24-26 and will feature the Midwest Rides Carnival, bingo, the Wood Lake hamburger stand, fair exhibits and free entertainment throughout the week.
