Learning anatomy and physiology isn’t always the most exciting part of becoming an EMT, so today we kicked it up a notch with a game of Simon Says: “Touch your…” After pointing to a few questionable locations, we eventually found the correct body parts!

These four have made the decision to become EMTs. With everything that already comes with a senior’s final year of high school, they’ve chosen to take on an even bigger challenge by joining our high school EMT class.

It’s going to be a lot of fun watching them grow, build confidence, and refine their skills throughout the year. We are excited to see where this journey takes them and proud of their willingness to step up, learn, and prepare to serve others.

One of our favorite activities is putting on a “Fire Camp” for these littles from Stick Creek Kids early education center. The kids got to learn about Fire Prevention, Fire Tactics and Tools and the EMS side of the fire service. Everyone went home with a first aid kit that they put together and a full tummy from the hot dog feed.
