Questions about cameras and surveillance technology are becoming more common in communities everywhere, including Wood Village. We believe clear information leads to informed conversations.

This graphic series explains the various technologies that may be visible in our community, including:
✅ City facility security cameras
✅ Traffic radar recorders used for traffic data collection
❌ License plate reader cameras, such as Flock, which are not used by the City or MCSO
🏠 Privately owned security cameras owned by community members and businesses

Our goal is to provide transparent, factual information about these devices, their purposes, and how they relate to community safety, privacy, and public infrastructure.

🌱 A quick Community Garden reminder:

Community Garden plots are individually assigned through our annual registration program, and the fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers grown there belong to the registered gardener who cares for the plot.

For those interested in harvesting fresh produce, the Edible Grove in the southwest corner of the park remains open to the public. Please help us keep this resource available to everyone by taking only what you need and leaving plenty for others.

Thank you for being a great neighbor and helping us care for these shared community spaces. 💚
