Carroll County Barn Fire

Just after 9pm on Tuesday, May 12th, Station 4 was alerted to assist on a Barn Fire in the 2600 block of Braddock Rd near Taylorsville. TNK4, TNK550 (county reserve tanker), and WS42 responded as part of the Tanker Task Force and E41 responded as the engine on the Rapid Intervention Dispatch.

TNK4 and TNK550 both hauled multiple loads of water from tanker fill sites to the fire scene. WS42 set up one of the 3 tanker fill sites using the underground tank on Kimberly Drive near Roop Rd. E41 staged and was ultimately cleared and returned to cover our first due.

Lisbon Receives Donation from Ride for Responders

At tonight’s company meeting representatives from Ride for Responders presented us with a generous donation as part of their efforts to support first responders in the area. These funds will be used to furnish chairs and much needed kitchen equipment for the new social hall. We want to thank them for continuing to support us, and we look forward to participating in their future events!

Mutual Aid Church Fire

At just after 6:30pm on May 5th, 2026, units from Lisbon were alerted to assist with a fire in the 7100 Block of Watersville Rd in Mt. Airy. E41, TNK4, WS42, P45 and CF4 responded on the initial assignment. First arriving units found a single story church with fire showing from the roof. E41 and TNK4 assisted with fire attack, and WS42 set up a tanker fill site at a nearby hydrant. CF4 assisted incident command and used his vehicle as the command post for the incident.

Crews operated for approximately 4 hours, and no injuries were reported.

We’d also like to thank Bethany E82 for covering our station while our crews were out.

Remember- slow down and move over! Lives depend on it.

In just 4 days, SHA has tragically lost two of our team members to senseless and avoidable work zone crashes. These individuals were fiercely dedicated to improving Maryland's roadways.

The continued disregard for roadway workers is unacceptable, and everyone must do better. Your actions have real and life-changing impacts on families, friends, and our colleagues.

Motorists MUST slow down, move over and pay attention - especially in our work zones. Each and every one of our workers deserves to do their jobs and return home safely.

April Fools Mutual Aid Brush Fire

Today, fire crews were called for a significant mutual aid response in Montgomery County. Although it was April 1st, this was no prank. Brush 47 and Water Supply 42 were alerted to assist on the east side of Montgomery County, joining other units from Howard, Montgomery, and Prince George’s counties.

Just after 1 PM, Brush 47, Brush 28 from Ellicott City, and Brush 128 from HCDFRS-Waterloo were dispatched to the area of Cherry Hill Road and FDA Boulevard. They responded to help crews already on scene with a large brush fire. Shortly after Brush 47 called responding, Water Supply 42 and Foam Tanker 11 were also alerted and made their way to the incident. Units worked together for approximately 3.5 hours, assisting with fire suppression efforts before returning to their stations.

While responses like these are uncommon, they are not unusual. In recent years, Station 4 has responded or transferred as far as Clear Spring in Washington County and Anne Arundel County.
