Just so you know: Frostbite CAN occur in 15 minutes or less when the wind chill is -18°F or lower, and CAN occur in 30 minutes when the temperature is 5°F and the wind speed is 30 mph.

An Extreme Cold Warning is in effect for the entire this morning for wind chill temperatures 30-40 below. Another cold morning is expected Friday morning with wind chills 15 to 29 below in some areas.

Another dangerously cold night and morning to follow in Iowa. A Cold Weather Advisory ⚠️ has been issued for the entire state, lasting until noon on Wednesday. Stay indoors, frostbite is possible within minutes.

With the bitter cold temperatures this week, we have the chance to set some records. Those include record low maximum temperatures today, and then record low minimum temperatures both Wednesday and Thursday nights. Lucky us. Stay safe out there this week, and try to stay warm!

FOR CLARIFICATION:

City council will be changing the parking in the industrial park to no parking effective May 1st.

City Council did NOT change the seasonal parking and we have attached the ordinance below.

Don't forget about the City of Woodbine's winter parking codes (odd/even parking), and if you're going to travel today, please use caution. Slow down and be courteous to the plows!

Here's your look at early morning road conditions. Roads are already 100% to partially-covered with snow from border to border.

Expect lower visibilities and snow bursts with tapering near early afternoon hours west to east. Allow plenty of extra time if you have to go out.
