Please join us for Back-to-School Night on October 1, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. We’re offering two classroom sessions so families with children in multiple grades can meet more than one teacher.

- 5:30–6:00 p.m. — Session 1: Grade-level and classroom information from teachers

- 6:00–6:45 p.m. — One School, One Book: A family activity to support reading at home

- 6:45–7:00 p.m. — Transition

- 7:00–7:30 p.m. — Session 2: Grade-level and classroom information from teachers

Come ready to learn about our One School, One Book initiative and leave with a book your family can enjoy reading together.

The Book Fair will be open throughout the evening. We’ll open the building at 5:00 p.m. for families who would like to arrive early and shop.

Throwback to Our Principal’s Pass Advanced Party!

Last year, we celebrated over 100 Fitzgerald scholars who earned a Pass Advanced score on one or more SOL assessments! Ten students earned a perfect score of 600 for one or more of their SOLs.

To earn this achievement, scholars scored 500 or higher on their Math, Reading, Science, or Virginia Studies SOLs. These scholars showed incredible hard work, perseverance, and a commitment to excellence, and we were excited to recognize them with a special Principal’s Pass Advanced Party!

As we kick off a new school year, we're setting our sights even higher! 🚀 We can't wait to see even more students reach this milestone and increase the number of Pass Advanced earners across our school.

Field Day at Fitzgerald was a total blast! 🎉 The kids had so much fun running around, competing, and cheering each other on and honestly, the adults might’ve enjoyed it just as much! 😄
