MAPA Inc. VA Chapter We endeavor to transition men and women who are homeless to include our veterans as well as ex-offenders.

Our purpose is to assist, through education and advocacy for adequate, appropriate interventions and treatments, individuals and groups with drug addictions that are traditionally under or unserved by conventional community programs and processes. Our intentions are to help the community in relations to the severe substance abuse and subsequent homelessness issues that are prevailing along the ro

ute 1 corridor. We have formulated a holistic approach at restoration that will lead to personal recovery through the teaching and regaining of life skills and a consciousness of citizenship with the assistance of community entities and our local churches,thus transforming lives.

Arms Outstretch ministry, along with IROC Church has started a sportsmanship club with kids age 3 to 5 at Conway Elementary school in Fredericksburg. We started last Thursday, and we have 30 kids signed up for the club. The club runs for six weeks through November 7 on Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:30 PM. Here's the thing family, we are looking for men in the community who might be willing to join us as role models/big brothers of the kids who don’t have role models at home. If there are any of you who are able and want to help on any Thursday beginning this week through November 7, you can email, or call/text me @703-517-0200. We can use one more man every Thursday, it'd help bring the ratio of 10:1. We are also encouraging our women to come! We would like to play a specific sport with the children, which would be different every Thursday. I think this Thursday is kickball.😀😀😀😀
