A massive thank you to everyone who joined us for the DCES & BAES Multicultural Block Party! From the incredible performances to the delicious food and all the traditional outfits, tonight was a beautiful reminder of what makes our community so special.

It was amazing to see our two schools come together to celebrate the cultures, stories, and flavors that make our students who they are. Whether you were busy dancing, trying the fabulous food, or just catching up with neighbors, we hope you had as much fun as we did!

• 🍲 The Food: Seriously, we might need these recipes!
• 🎶 The Energy: The parade, performances and music kept the vibes high all night.
• 🤝 The Connection: Seeing the BAES and DCES families blending together was the best part.

Huge shoutout to the volunteers, teachers, and families who worked behind the scenes to make this "fabulous" event a reality. We already can’t wait for next year!

This week, we are celebrating our incredible teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week, and our theme is “Fueled by the Force – A Galactic Thank You to Our Teachers.” 🚀✨

Our teachers truly are the heart of BAES. They show up every day with dedication, creativity, and care for our students, and the impact they make reaches far beyond the classroom. This week is all about showing them just how much they are appreciated.

Families are invited (but never required!) to join us in spreading the love—whether it’s a kind note, a small gesture, or simply a “thank you.” Every smile, message, and moment of appreciation reminds our teachers how valued they are.

✨ Monday – May the Thanks Be With You...✉️ Send a handwritten note, card, or student drawing

☕ Tuesday – Yoda Best!... Bring a drink or pick‑me‑up (coffee, tea, water, juice, etc.)

🎨 Wednesday – Encore Rocks the Galaxy!...⭐ Encore Teachers Only (Art, Music, PE, Library)... Bring a special note, card, or small treat

✏️ Thursday – Supply the Force... Bring classroom supplies (tissues, dry erase markers, pencils, Post‑its, Clorox wipes)

💫 Friday – The Force Will Always Be With You... Bring an optional small gift or another note
