🎉 Today was the day!!! 🎉
We celebrated the success of our Walk-a-thon, and what an incredible achievement it was! Our lofty goal was $11,000, and thanks to the generosity of friends, family, and our amazing community, we surpassed it with a grand total of $11,584.07! 👏💙
A huge congratulations goes out to our top three students who collected the greatest amount in sponsorships and earned gift cards of $150, $100, and $50:
🥇 Harrison Conrad — $441.00
🥈 Sutter Saalfrank — $405.00
🥉 Cali Hauke — $400.00
In addition, 10 students were randomly selected to receive $20 gift cards in recognition of their hard work and effort.
Yesterday, all classes that raised at least $400 were rewarded with ice cream 🍦, and the top fundraising class — Mrs. Herring’s class — collected an amazing $1,363.61 and will celebrate with a pizza party on Wednesday! 🍕
To top it all off, one student from each class was drawn to participate in the exciting pie-throwing activity, choosing either Mrs. Mabee or Mr. Didion as their target! 🥧 The gym was packed, the excitement was high, and the students did an outstanding job throughout the event.
Thank you to everyone who supported our Walk-a-thon and helped make it such a memorable success! 💙

Our 3rd–6th graders celebrated all their hard work and accomplishments from the 4th quarter with this year’s final Flying Aces today! We are so proud of the effort, growth, and determination these students have shown throughout the quarter. What a great way to wrap up the year’s final Flying Aces celebration!

Congratulations to Jasmine Ortiz (left) and Jason Graber (not pictured) for earning recognition in the Fort Wayne Cherry Blossom Festival Haiku Poetry Contest! Their award winning creativity was recognized yesterday at a ceremony on the campus of Purdue Fort Wayne. They received a calligraphy version of their poem along with a small monetary award!

Have you met these amazing 6th Grade track athletes? If not, you’re missing out! WOEL couldn’t be prouder of the role they played last night to support the Junior High track teams be so successful at the ACAC Conference Championships!

The boys team won the ACAC Championship and the girls were runner up, and these 6th graders played a huge role:

Noah and Keller were on the boys 4x8 team that took 4th

Keller won pole vault and 6th in the Mile

Hannah placed 4th in long jump, 5th in the 100, 7th in the 200 and was part of the 4x1 team that got second and set the school record

Elsie was part of the 4x8 team that got 4th and she placed 9th in the 1600

Congratulations to the entire team on your achievements!!! Job well done! Way to represent Warrior Country!

Today Kindergarten celebrated the letter W with a nature walk and scavenger hunt! 🌳🔎 The students had so much fun exploring outside, searching for items from nature, and working together with friends.
