Hot night of training Thursday at Woodburn station 2, thanks to Area 4 State Fire Rescue Training. We practiced approaching a fire involving a propane truck using their training prop. Volunteers proudly serving Woodburn and Southern Warren County since 1962.

Tonight, Woodburn Firefighters trained on victim search and rescue. We had access to 2 acquired structures that we were able to do training in. Our new recruits gained a lot of knowledge and skills tonight that will help them if the need arises to get a victim out of a house.

We are seeking bids for the following as we expand our training center.

Invitation to Bid

The Woodburn Community Fire Department is seeking bids to purchase four (4) shipping containers. The Department is seeking bids on two (2) 40-foot one-trip double door containers and two (2) 20-foot one-trip containers. Bids should also include delivery to Woodburn Station 2, 7055 Nashville Road, Bowling Green, KY. 42101. Bids must be received by 4 p.m. CT May 18 and can be emailed to [email protected] or mailed to Woodburn Community Fire Department, 900 Woodburn Allen Springs Road, Woodburn, KY 42170. The Woodburn Community Fire Department is seeking bids for site work at Station 2, 7055 Nashville Road, Bowling Green, KY 42101. The work will consist of the removal and hauling away of 6 inches of topsoil; adding a layer of #23 stone to the area and compact; then adding dense grade stone and compact to a total stone thickness of six inches. The area is approximately 2,850 square feet. Bids must be received by 4 p.m. CT May 18 and can be emailed to [email protected] or mailed to Woodburn Community Fire Department, 900 Woodburn Allen Springs Road, Woodburn, KY 42170. The Woodburn Community Fire Department is seeking bids for the pouring of concrete support beams to support shipping containers for a new training center at Station 2, 7055 Nashville Road, Bowling Green, KY. 42101. There will be five (5) beams, each measuring six inches wide, 12 inches thick and 16 feet long. The beams will be set in a prepared stone area and must be set two inches above the stone. Bids must be received by 4 p.m. CT May 18 and can be emailed to [email protected] or mailed to Woodburn Community Fire Department, 900 Woodburn Allen Springs Road, Woodburn, KY 42170. On Monday night we had 2 firefighters graduate from the Warren County Volunteer Recruit Academy. Firefighters Sheets and Henson graduate with there level 1 certification along with several others from across the county. We have a great group of strong Volunteers Firefighters in the county and these 16 will be a great asset to Warren County.

The Warren County burn ban has been lifted but the Kentucky fire season continues till April 30th.

Around 6pm on 4-20-26 Woodburn units responded to a fuel spill caused by a semi hauling aluminum rolls that had overturned on Petros road. Engine 58 and 52 responded and stopped the leak. No injuries were reported.
