Today, our fifth graders took their final walk through the halls as elementary students. 💙🎓

As they made their way through the building, students and staff lined the hallways to cheer, clap, congratulate, and say goodbye. There were lots of smiles, a few tears, and plenty of emotions as our soon-to-be middle schoolers celebrated this important milestone.

We’re so proud of our graduating students, and we’re excited for all that lies ahead for them. It’s hard to say goodbye, but we know they’re ready for the next big step!

Maybe you heard from your resident child… today was the last day of school! 🎉

To celebrate, our kindergartners gathered outside in a circle, each holding a handful of confetti. After a joyful countdown, they tossed it into the air to mark a very special milestone: becoming first graders! 🎊✨

Congratulations to our newest first graders. We can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll do next year!

So many friends saw our weekend post congratulating Mrs. Daly on her upcoming retirement! Well, tomorrow night we're combining two of your favorite things: Royal Oaks night at Culvers, with special guest Mrs. Daly!

This invitation is not only for current families, but also for any former families and students: you would absolutely send Mrs. Daly into an emotional abyss that she'd spend the summer trying to climb out of if you were able to pop in and say hi (and grab a meal to benefit our school and PTO while you're there! 😁).

Culver's Night is from 5pm-7pm on Tuesday, and of course this is the last one of the year. Hope to see you there!

Today we celebrated a truly remarkable and very beloved member of our school family, Mrs. Daly, as she retires after 30 years of dedicated service as our school health aide.

We surprised her--REALLY surprised her!--with an assembly in her honor. The entire school as well as former colleagues and students from decades of work at Royal Oaks joined in wishing her well as she starts a new chapter. Students sang and danced, and presented Mrs. Daly with books that share memories and messages of love.

Over the years, Mrs. Daly has been so much more than the person who handed out bandages and ice packs. She has been a comforting presence for worried students, a trusted partner to families, a helping hand and a shoulder to lean on for staff, and a friendly face who always made time for anyone who needed her.

Literal generations of students have walked through her door seeking care, reassurance, and sometimes just a little hug. Her compassion, patience, and genuine love for our school community have made a lasting impact on countless lives.

Mrs. Daly, thank you for 30 years of caring for our students and supporting our school. Your dedication has made our school a better place, and your presence will be deeply missed.

Please join us in wishing Mrs. Daly a happy and well-deserved retirement! ❤️

We need help with the K-1-2 field day session from 8:15-11:00 tomorrow, Thursday May 28! We were short volunteers to start with, and we have had a few cancellations, leaving us short-handed.

The available spots, in order of need, are:

*2 at the Cage Ball station: play fun games with a gigantic ball (all instructions provided!)

*1 or 2 at the Statue of Liberty game (students carry a cup of water with a hole in it to fill a bucket, a field day favorite!)

*1 at the DJ station (no musical talent needed! Just assist with snacks, waters, students who need to enter the building for first aid or restroom needs, and assist DJ Mrs. Potvin as needed)

*Possibly 1 additional timekeeper, but only if we fill all the other more-needed spots above

If you can help, reply here and someone will be in touch right away. Thank you for considering!
