Our agency will be closed on Thursday, May 14th in observance of Hmong Day.

Hmong American Day is officially observed annually on May 14 to honor the bravery, culture, and contributions of the Hmong community, particularly their alliance with the U.S. during the Vietnam War and their subsequent migration. We had a great time tabling at Minneapolis College fair earlier this week!

It was wonderful connecting with students, sharing information about our services, and talking about opportunities to make a difference in the community. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table to learn more about what we do at Strive MN.

An Extreme Cold Warning has been issued for Ramsey County from 6 p.m. Jan. 22 to Noon Jan. 23.

-Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 45 below zero expected. Skin may get frostbite in as little as 10 minutes.
- If you need to go outside, wear warm layers, and cover your face, hands and head.
-Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
-Check on relatives, neighbors, older adults and other high-risk community members to make sure they are staying safe.
-Never try to heat your home with a gas stovetop or oven.
-If you need to travel, check road conditions, pack an emergency kit for your car and tell people when you are supposed to arrive.
