New year, new swarm! 🎉 Caught near the Blackman area and now settling into their farm digs. 🍯🌻

I spotted the first tiny red maple buds cracking open, and somewhere out there my bees hit the snooze button for the last time. The buffet is almost open.

Red maples are popping and the bees just got their wake-up call 🌳🐝
Those tiny red buds? That’s the official “buffet opens soon” sign in the bee world.

Game on, spring — the girls are clocking in.

We LOVE hearing from our customers as we get closer to honey season! 🍯🐝

Last year, we shipped honey all the way to Washington State and Colorado — and we’re so thankful for all the amazing local support too!
Just a quick update: we won’t have honey available until around June, which is about when it was ready last year.

We can’t wait for another sweet season and to share this year’s harvest with you!

My son and I just returned from a trip through Norway, Sweden, and Denmark! While I wasn’t able to snag any honey in Norway, I made sure to bring some back from Sweden and Denmark — and wow, it’s delicious. 🤤🍯

🇸🇪🇩🇰 Fun fact: Honey in Sweden and Denmark is highly regulated. It has to be 100% pure — no additives, no syrup blends, and strict origin labeling. Even small producers are regularly inspected for quality and purity.

🇺🇸 In the U.S., we don’t have a national standard for honey. Some products labeled “honey” can legally be blends, and testing rarely happens unless someone complains.

That’s why I’m proud of what we do at Blair Family Farm, LLC — our honey is never blended, never altered. What we harvest each season is exactly what we sell. Pure, local, and straight from our farm to your jar. 🐝💛
