🌟 Member of the Month: Shelly Prescott

This month, we're proud to recognize Shelly Prescott, Assistant Director of Grounds at the University of Georgia.

Shelly helps oversee the maintenance and enhancement of UGA's beautiful 800-acre campus, creating welcoming landscapes for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. A UGA horticulture graduate, he has more than 35 years of experience in the green industry, with a career spanning the private sector, the State Botanical Garden of Georgia, Metrolina Greenhouses, Home Depot, Sea Island, and several Atlanta landscape companies.

GGIA was glad to be represented at the Georgia Farm Bureau Commodity Advisory Committee Conference today at the UGA Tifton Conference Center.

Many GGIA members are actively involved with their local Farm Bureaus and the Environmental Horticulture Commodity Advisory Committee, making this an important opportunity to stay connected to the issues affecting our industry.

We’re grateful to our friends at Georgia Farm Bureau for including GGIA and helping us stay informed so we can better represent our members during the legislative session.
