Getting your child to and from school just got a little easier! The BusRight Parent App is now available for Woodhaven-Brownstown families.

With BusRight, parents can:
📍 View their child’s morning and afternoon bus routes
🚌 See the real-time ETA to their child’s bus stop
🔔 Receive notifications when the bus begins its trip and arrives at the stop
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Easily switch between routes when multiple children ride the bus

9/11 CLIMB — HONORING THE 412
Join us as we come together to pay tribute to the 412 first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.

This collective fitness endeavor is a powerful way to honor their bravery, dedication, and unwavering commitment to others.

⏱️ THE CHALLENGE
Complete 41 minutes and 20 seconds of physical movement of your choice in honor of the 412 first responders who lost their lives.

Choose the activity that works best for you:

🏃 Walking or running
🪜 Climbing
🏋️ CrossFit WOD

100 lunges/steps
20 burpees
30 sit-ups
20 air squats
Mix and match activities or create your own movement challenge. The goal is to move with purpose, remember with gratitude, and honor their sacrifice.

📣 WARRIOR CHEER TRYOUTS ARE COMING! 📣

Registration is NOW OPEN for Fall 2026 Middle School Sideline Cheerleading Tryouts! 💜🖤

📅 Tryouts: Wednesday, September 2
⏰ 3:30–5:30 p.m.
📍 WUE First Gym

No previous cheerleading experience is required! A walkover is preferred, but not required. Our coaches and current team members will teach selected athletes the necessary cheers and stunts. 📣

What to bring:
👟 Athletic clothing and shoes
🎀 Hair pulled back
💧 Water bottle

Cheerleaders must be committed to attending all scheduled practices, tumbling sessions and games.

September Schedule:
• Practices: Mondays & Thursdays, 4–6 p.m.
• Tumbling: Tuesdays, 6–9 p.m.
• Games: Wednesdays
• Three tumbling sessions are required at $18 per session, plus a $30 registration fee.

👨‍👩‍👧 Mandatory Parent Meeting:
Thursday, September 3 at 5 p.m.

Today, we remember and celebrate the extraordinary life and legacy of Dolly Parton. 💜📚

Dolly’s legacy will certainly live on through the songs she wrote, the characters she created, and the joy she brought to millions of people. But we believe some of her most important legacy will live quietly in homes around the world — in the moments when a parent reads to a child, when a little hand turns a page, when a favorite story is requested one more time before bed, and when a child begins to believe that there is a bigger world waiting for them.

The Woodhaven-Brownstown School District is proud to be a partner of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, helping bring the gift of books and the joy of reading to young children in our community.

Dolly understood that a book can open a door, spark a dream, and change the course of a child’s life. Through the Imagination Library, that belief will continue to reach children and families for generations to come.
