Did you tune in to last Thursday's City Council meeting? Did you see a new face on the dais? Mayor Jones and the City Council welcomed another Youth Advisory Council member to serve for a day, and last week's spot went to Elizabeth Wiseman! Elizabeth is a high school sophomore, completing her education as a dual-enrollment student at Pikes Peak State College. She is an avid volunteer, giving her time to local organizations as well as the City's Parks and Recreation Department. Elizabeth is passionate about bringing more opportunities to the youth of Woodland Park so that "kids can connect, be creative, and feel part of the community."

The Youth Advisory Council is the City's newest official Board and includes a team of accomplished and responsible local high schoolers. They will be working hard to ensure the voices of the youngest residents in our community are heard and represented.
